Kootenay Wood Energy is the leading chimney and woodstove installation, repair and maintenance company of the West Kootenays, offering a suite of services to homes and businesses with wood burning heating systems.

Chris Warren, owner and operator, started Kootenay Wood Energy in 2008 after apprenticing with well-known Master Wood Energy Technician, Dave Butt, who served the region for over two decades. Seeking to live in the mountains and located centrally in New Denver, Chris took on Dave’s clientele upon retirement. Chris is a professional WETT Certified Wood Energy Technician, Sweep and Inspector, an experienced carpenter, and is fully insured.

As an avid mountain climber, Chris has extensive experience with heights and rope handling, and thoroughly enjoys his job working atop peoples’ roofs. He is knowledgeable and experienced. He is hard working, honest, efficient, reliable and punctual. Chris loves meeting all the interesting people across the region and being on a different job each day.

It can be a dirty job for sure, but Kootenay Wood Energy takes real pleasure and satisfaction in providing this necessary and important service to the communities of the Slocan Valley, North Kootenay, and Arrow Lakes.
